Eeek! The Muses Are Attacking!

So it's a late Monday night, I should be studying for my upcoming finals but what do I find myself doing?  Certainly not studying.  It would seem that I have gotten bit by the Shunsui/Nanao bug that's been going around.  I just spent the last couple of hours (hours that were supposed to be devoted to studying journalism) on writing two brand new one-shots for the Setsubun LoveLove Challenge (SLLC).  One of them is already finished; the other is about sixty percent complete.  The problem I'm faced with now is decided whether I should get back to what I should be doing (studying for my tests) or doing what I want to do (keep writing Shunsui/Nanao fics).  Ah decisions, decisions.

In any case, if anyone wants to know the rules for the SLLC, I have posted them below.  (Post was copied and pasted from Ms Western Ink's profile page on FFN):

Updates, Prompts, and Exciting News, Oh My!

I know it seems I have disappeared again, but in reality I have been hard at work.  It's just that everything I have been working on lately seems to require a bit more fine tuning than I had originally anticipated.  I have three different chapters of Kiss Kiss (story available on FFN) in the works and of those three I would say that one is close to completion.  Amazingly enough, I have even made some progress on the elusive epilogue to Forgotten Love.  It's not finished yet, but it is getting there.

I'm even working on Secrets That Bind Us.  Chapter 7 should be posted soon (within the next couple of days). I just need to adjust the ending a bit, make sure there are no inconsistencies, and do some other minor editing.  Oddly enough, it's already passed the 2,000 word mark making it the longest chapter of the story.  In other good news, I have already got a bit of a headstart on chapter 8 so with any luck it should be posted around the end of December or beginning of January.  (Remember: Reviews + Me = Quicker Updates).

Moving on, I'm toying with how to proceed with the epilogue of Secrets That Bind Us.  Originally, I had outlined eight chapters and an epilogue.  Later however, I thought that I should expand the epilogue into its own story showing the process of their unique courtship.  Unfortunately, since I rather finish some other projects before I start more multi-chaptered stories, I decided that maybe a lengthy fic wasn't the best plan.  That's when I had an idea.

I'm thinking of expanding the epilogue into its own fic but rather than doing normal chapters that require transitions, checks for coherencies, and other time-consuming tasks, I would make it a drabble compilation of sorts.  Each chapter will be a stand-alone incident that is based on a prompt and reflects the developing relationship between Nanao/Shunsui.  But best of all, I will be taking requests for prompts.

Therefore, if you have a prompt/request, you can either post it here or submit it in a review on my FFN account.  (I will then take the prompts and make a list on livejournal so that you know that I have received it.) I can't guarantee that I will be able to do them all (depending on how many I receive) but I will try my best.  I only have two rules.  1) Pairing is Nanao/Shunsui (obviously).  2) No outright lemons. (I know some of you have mentioned a desire for this but right now my "lemon-writing skills" still leave much to be desired in my opinion)  Citrus I might be able to manage, but for full blown lemons you might have to look elsewhere.

That being said, I can't wait to see what you guys submit!

Today sucks, is tomorrow here yet?

I don't know what is up with me today but all I want to do is just crawl back under the covers and sleep the rest of the day away.  I think I'm just a little run down from working so much, sleeping so little, and the fun-filled chaos that life brings.  Hopefully, this weekend will give me some time to get my head on straight.

Okay so it's been nearly a month since my last post and even longer since I have last updated my fics.  I apologize but life started getting a little crazy and messed up my schedule.  I had to move all my stuff and some of my notebooks which had my stories written in them were misplaced in the transition.  I managed to recall most of the chapter from scratch but it set me a bit behind.  Hopefully, I'm back on track now.   In any case, I'll be working on my projects in the following order:

     - Kiss Kiss (Prince of Tennis)
     - Secrets That Bind Us (Bleach)
     - 100 Situations Challenge (Naruto)
     - Forgotten Love (Escaflowne)

I should have chapter two of Kiss Kiss up in about a week.  Wish me luck!

Today is definitely a good day.

One of my friends from work has an amazing list of songs on her iPOD.  Most of them are fairly obscure but extremely interesting.   When I mentioned my interest in some of them, she told me she would burn me a copy.  I thought, 'yeah, sure, like that's gonna happen.'

It did.  I have just started putting some of the fifteen CDs unto my computer but I am already giddy about the music selection.  Some of the standout artists include:

Evanescence
Nightwish
Frou Frou - Let Go is amazing!
Vienna Teng
among others

I am definitely excited.  That and I managed to pick up a bunch of shiny new icons.  So here is my day today put in simple terms.

New Music + New Icons - Semester Finals = INSPIRATION!

So yeah, you should probably expect some new stories/additional chapters from me pretty soon.

Okay, so I was a few days off..

I know I had hoped to post chapter four of The Secrets that Bind Us on Friday but instead I ended up crashing on Friday night and then heading out to visit a friend that I haven't seen in about three or four years on Saturday.  In any case, I just posted it on FFN so here's the link if you want to go check it out:

Hope you take a look and give me feedback.

Sorry guys, I know it's been a while...

I'm so sorry everyone that I haven't updated anything in so long.  This past week (and the couple weeks before it) have been so hectic lately.  In any case, I should be up to a ton of writing this weekend.  I really want to work on The Lesson Plan but unfortunately those particular muses have been snubbing me lately.  There is one another Prince of Tennis piece I have in the works but I need to do a major rewrite of the first chapter before I post it which sounds like a pain in the butt.  Probably what I'll end up doing is working on all the little Naruto one-shots I have on my computer.  Before I do that I will be nice and post the next chapter to The Secrets that Bind Us since everyone has been waiting forever for it.  It should be up later tonight if everything goes to plan.

Brief Excerpt from "Dumb Luck"

I have been promising the sequel to In Our Wisdom for a month now.  And while I have made significant progress on it, I still have a ways to go.  The ending is posing a bit of a problem.  But since everyone has been waiting so patiently, I figured I would at least post an excerpt from Dumb Luck here.

You know receiving feedback really helps stir my imagination and creativity.  ~Hint Hint~

I love lazy days...

I love lazy days.  I love staying in my Pjs until noon, making pancakes for lunch, and then heading downstairs to lay out on the couch.  There's something so relaxing about it all.  It helps that I have the house to myself and listening to the rain makes me sleepy.  I think what is the best part of this picture is my little miniature Schnauzer is laying on the couch with me, her head resting on my leg as she takes a nap.  (She chased around some birds this afternoon, so she's a bit tired.)  And even though I have to type this entry at angle ( I can't fit both her and my computer in my lap together), I can't seem to care.  The day is just too perfect.

A drabble in the works

Well, I already posted this on FF.net but I figured it can't hurt to post it here too.  It's just a Naruto drabble that I'm still trying to work on.

Summary: One boy smiles. One girl knows.  And the last boy, tries desperately to forget.  A Team 7 introspective piece set after Sasuke leaves for Sound.

Well, ya like?

Once again, I am back at HOA and am enjoying a delightful Jaded Mocha, a mixture of white chocolate, French Vanilla and hazelnut, and doing a ton of writing.  Mostly some short Naruto fics, but I'm hoping to work on some original pieces later.  In either case, life is good!

PS For those of you who don't know, November is National Novel Writing Month.  Feel free to use this as an excuse to write to your heart's content.

Anime Party!

This last weekend was a blast!  I went home to hang out with my brother since he just had a birthday.  Apparently, he already had some friends over but I ended up having a great time hanging out with all of them.  I watched about five different anime shows during the past two days including: Bleach, Koras, Full Metal Panic, Inuyasha and Gundam Wing.  It was awesome!

Hey Life, Care to Give Me a Break?

This past week (two weeks, I should say) have been so hectic.  I've been cramming for tests, writing papers, and working my but off to pay for my tuition.  Soooo not fun.  What's worse is I find out that the computer system at work lost a month's worth of my hours, which means I wasn't going to have a check..... Once again, not fun.  Fortunately, I managed to find a list of most of the hours I worked and they gave me a check.  The manager told me that I should be in the system now and there shouldn't be anymore problems.  Personally, I think I'll just keep recording my hours just in case.

I think my favorite part of college is hanging out at all the different coffee shops we have twenty feet from campus.  I'm at one called HOA pretending that I don't a quiz/meeting with professor/leading of discussion due tomorrow.  Denial is great but it's even better when you have coffee to help you pass the time.
